Champion outlines gold zone at depth

Preliminary drill results from the Takatu gold project in Guyana show that gold values in surface rocks persist at depth in sulphide-bearing rock.

Champion Resources (CHL-V) reports that the first diamond drill hole cut 43.4 metres grading 1.16 grams gold per tonne, including 7 metres of 3.38 grams or 3 metres of 4.07 grams.

The gold is hosted by quartz vein stockworks in Archean volcanic rocks.

Champion is earning a 51% interest in Takatu from Toscana Resources (TNR-V).

To date, the joint venture has drilled 15 holes in a planned 25-hole program, the objective being to test the downdip extension of gold-bearing stockworks in surface trenches.
