Champion Bear raises drilling fund

Champion Bear Resources (ASE) has raised $605,000 for ongoing drilling at its One Man Lake gold-base metal prospect near Kenora, Ont.

The company raised the funds by selling flow-through common shares at $2 per share to friends and associates. Another $150,000 may be available through additional subscriptions.

Last winter, Champion intersected a series of en echelon gold zones ranging from four feet to 22 ft. in width and assaying up to 0.18 oz. gold per ton (T.N.M., March 4/91). Values of up to 3.2% zinc were found to be associated with the gold-arsenic mineralization.
