Another round of drilling has been completed at CaribGold’s (CG-T) Cameguey gold concession in Cuba.
The program tested the Santa Elena prospect area, with the first nine holes having been completed on the Beatriz quartz zone. The remaining 14 holes tested the recently discovered South Elena quartz structure.
Results are in hand for the first two holes at Beatriz. Hole 8 returned a 10.35-metre intersection grading 10.77 grams gold per tonne from 67 to 79 metres, and a 6-metre intersection grading 1.87 grams from 79 to 85 metres.
Hole 9 intersected 4.6 metres of 8.2 grams gold from 79.4 to 84 metres and 3.7 metres of 5.08 grams from 96.8 to 101.5 metres.
CaribGold also reported results from its Sigua prospect in the Sierra Maestra Oriental concession. Hole 4 hit 16 metres of 1.41 grams gold and 24.8 grams silver, while hole 10 hit 21 metres of 0.81 gram gold and 8.17 grams silver.
Other holes returned weak mineralization from this prospect.
