Canadian Mining Hall of Fame – Inductee RANDOLPHE WILLIAM DIAMOND,

During the years 1917-1920, Randolphe William Diamond developed a new process for ore separation known as differential froth flotation that unlocked the treasures of the Sullivan zinc-lead-iron sulphide ore and ensured the future of Cominco Ltd. It was the first successful large-scale differential flotation operation anywhere and added a significant weapon to the metallurgists’ arsenal for mineral recovery around the world.
