Calgary site of conference

The Second International Conference on Environmental Issues and Management of Waste in Energy and Mineral Production is scheduled for Sept. 1-4 in Calgary, Alta.

Organized in part by the University of Calgary and Laval University, the conference will feature 150 technical papers to be presented by speakers from North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Three short courses will be offered Sept. 1 on the topics of “Closure cost management for mines,” “Physicochemistry and treatment of water” and “Mining geotechnical/environmental contamination.”
