Initial drilling has indicated gold mineralization over a large part of the project area including the Cottonwood and Lucky 13 prospects. The program was wide spaced and several fences of holes were drilled on 100-ft centres after that.
Gold mineralization was found along fault structures over a large area in the western part of the property with gold grades varying from 0.025 oz per ton to more than 0.5 oz within a single zone. Among the better results were: 15 ft of 0.27 oz gold (including 5 ft of 0.54 oz) and five ft of 0.14 oz.
The three companies have proposed a $600,000 budget to define the shape, attitude, and extent of the mineralized zones discovered to date. Detai led drilling (airtrack) is planned on the high grade discovery zone in the Cottonwood. In addition, surface exploration, road building, and trenching are planned for the Mud Spring and other prospects. Work is expected to resume within a few weeks.
