Assay results from four recent drill holes on the past-producing Poirier base metal property near Joutel, Que., have been released by Bonanza Metals (ASE). The best result is 28 ft. grading 6.66% zinc and 0.08% copper per ton, including a 12-ft. interval grading 11.53% zinc in hole 46. That intersection was obtained along an unexplored western extension of the property’s West zone where a known base metal lense exists. Holes 47-50, which also probed the vicinity of the West zone, returned only low values including 0.21% copper over 24 ft. and 0.71% zinc over 8 ft. in hole 49.
Bonanza says the economic values encountered in hole 46 suggest that more base metal lenses may exist at least 500 ft. to the west of the known reserves in the West zone.
