A $120,000 field program is under way on the Sustut copper-gold project about 200 km north of Smithers, B.C., Beauchamps Exploration (VSE) reported.
Sustut is a 50-50 joint venture between Beauchamps and Skeena Resources (VSE) and consists of two separate claim groups, Cisco and Park. Skeena is operator of the current work program.
Skeena has identified two target areas on the Cisco claims, which were explored earlier by another company in the 1970s. The Park claims also underwent exploration in the 1970s by another company.
Elsewhere in the province, Beauchamps is involved in the Kinaskan Lake joint venture property, 16 km east of Columbia Gold Mines’ Spectrum property. Beauchamps’ partner there is Ascot Resources (VSE).
Kinaskan Lake exploration to date has focused on the assessment of the potential for economic porphyry copper-gold mineralization and precious metal rich veins and shear zones. Three targets have been defined. Work this year is designed to bring one or more of the targets to the drilling stage in the latter part of the summer.
