Athlone Resources drill-tests Norteno property in Bolivia

Drill results from the Norteno concession in western Bolivia indicate pyrite mineralization is the cause of a large induced-polarization anomaly.

Athlone Resources (AT-V) tested the broad chargeability high for porphyry-style gold-copper mineralization. The first four holes yielded only negligible gold and copper values, with silver averaging in the range of 3-12 grams per tonne over the entire length of holes 2 (230 metres), 3 (155 metres) and 4 (152 metres).

A fifth hole tested a chargeability low, returning anomalous values.

Holes 6 through 8 are being drilled to test exposed gold-copper mineralization, where surface rock sampling returned gold values of up to 2.2 grams. The exposed mineralization occurs in a chargeability low.
