Athabaska Gold releases assays from Nicholas Lake

The company has earned a 60% interest in the project from Chevron Minerals and as operator, is continuing work with two diamond drills rigs to delineate reserves on the Main Showing.

The best results from the latest holes were from drilling along the A-2 vein found within the Main Showing. The company said the A-2 vein structure now has an indicated horizontal length in excess of 500 ft and a vertical extent of at least 400 ft. Results from the A-2 vein include (all calculated true widths): 4.6 ft of 0.609 oz gold; 6.5 ft of 0.627 oz; 2.1 ft of 0.427 oz and 2.3 ft of 0.233 oz gold per ton.

Selected results from other veins within the Main Showing include (all true widths): 5.8 ft of 0.176 oz gold, 3.4 ft of 0.124 oz; 3.4 ft of 0.123 oz; 2.5 ft of 1.298 oz; 9.2 ft of 0.113 oz; 2.0 ft of 0.568 oz; 4.2 ft of 0.255 oz; and 3.7 ft of 0.286 oz.
