Canada has recently signed a 5-year agreement with the Yemen Arab Republic, which provides for co-operation between the two governments in the earth sciences and mining.
The agreement will also create new opportunities for Canada’s remote-sensing industry. As funding becomes available, it will assist Yemen in establishing a data base of remotely sensed data to support the country’s resource development.
