Dumas buys Peruvian mining contractor L&L

Having settled into its new headquarters in downtown Toronto, Dumas Contracting has acquired L&L Contratista Minera, a Peruvian mining contractor specializing in shaft sinking.

“The acquisition of L&L is an important initial step for Dumas into the rapidly growing Peruvian mining market,” said president and CEO Daniel Dumas in a press release. “As Peru’s only shaft-sinking mining contractor, L&L immediately positions Dumas as one of the leading contract miners in Peru. The acquisition of L&L allows Dumas to leverage its operating experience, as one of Canada’s premier underground mining contractors, by expanding its services internationally into the vibrant Latin American mining sector.”
