Portman stakes additional claims on deformation zone

Junior Portman Explorations (VSE) has staked an additional 199 claims in northern Ontario.

The claims, situated in MacMurchy, Natal, Churchill and Kelvin twps., are west of ground drilled by Portman and its partner, Haddington Resources (VSE). They cover the western extension of the Tyrrell deformation zone. The companies have drilled 11 holes along a 1,200-metre strike length of the zone in Tyrrell Twp. All the holes intersected anomalous gold values, the best being 2.74 grams per tonne over a true width of 28 metres. The claims are in an area of mutual interest and could become subject to the terms of a joint-venture agreement should Haddington decide to reimburse half of Portman’s acquisition costs.
