All-North acquires Indonesian ground

Through the purchase of an Indonesian company, All-North Resources (VSE) has acquired a prospective concession within an emerging gold district on the island of Java, Indonesia.

The Canadian junior is believed to be the first to acquire a land position in the camp, and is in the process of expanding its land position. Access and infrastructure in the region is excellent relative to other areas in the country (such as Irian Jaya), as a paved road and powerline run through the concession.

To date no systematic exploration has been done on the Cihaur concession in the Jampang gold district, although a number of illegal miners are extracting gold from both lode and placer workings within the concession boundaries. Based on geological observations, All-North believes the concession has multi-million-ounce gold potential.

The Jampang gold district is dominated by three calderas, which have provided the fracture systems and heat source for the emplacement of epithermal mineralization.

All-North said its concession is located in a zone of alteration and silicification associated with these calderas, about 4-6 km wide and extending for a strike length of 18-20 km. Mineralization occurs in the form of veins, stockworks and breccias. Gold values range from 1-to-20 grams per tonne, and silver values range from 5-to-50 grams per tonne.
