Flag hits zone in Wanapitei drilling near Sudbury

A hole drilled on Flag Resources’ (ASE) Wanapitei property, northeast of Sudbury, Ont., has intersected 166.4 ft. of mineralized breccia.

The 200-ft. hole, drilled to test an induced polarization anomaly, is three miles southeast of Flag’s other gold zones at Wolf and Jess Lakes. The breccia zone is estimated to contain an average of 3% sulphides, 15% quartz and 20% chlorite alteration.

The hole, which bottomed in mineralized breccia, will be deepened once gold assays are received.

In other news, Flag plans to extend a 2,700-ft. hole drilled earlier this year at nearby Laundry Lake. The hole will be deepened to 4,000 ft. to evaluate the western magnetic peak of the Wanapitei anomaly.
