A prefeasibility report on gold reserves at the Seabee deposit in northern Saskatchewan has been received by Claude Resources (TSE).
The report was recently completed by A.C.A. Howe International, a mining consulting group, and it estimates the in situ undiluted ore reserves at Seabee to be 645,000 tons (proven and probable) grading 0.365 oz and 367,000 tons (possible) grading 0.365 oz gold per ton.
The reserve estimate was based on a combination of statistical and manual methods, using a cutoff grade of 0.15 oz gold per ton.
The company also reports that recently completed metallurgical work, designed to test recovery of free gold by gravity separation, has shown that up to 31.2% of the gold can be recovered in a gravity concentrate. The results of the gravity tests indicate that the installation of a gravity circuit in the Seabee mill is warranted. The company says total gold recovery from the Seabee ore expected to exceed 92%.
In other news, Claude says it has been advised by Sask Power that preliminary engineering for the Island Falls to Points North transmission line has commenced.
