Trenching is under way on the Virginia property near Gander, Nfld., reports owner Manor Resources (ASE).
Phase one of the program will test zones A-1 and A-2. Soil and till samples collected over Zone A-1 returned high gold values over a strike length of 2,000 metres and a width of 300 metres. The source of these values is thought to be a major shear zone stretching along the northern portion of the geochemical anomaly.
Trenching in Zone A-2 will be completed in the vicinity of a geochemical anomaly ranging up to 2,900 ppb gold.
Two new zones, A-3 and A-4, will be tested during the nexyt phase of the program.
