Stroud, Chevron assay high grade

A high grade intersection has been drilled by Stroud Resources and joint venture partner Chevron Minerals on their Hislop property near Timmins, Ont. The drilling cut a 6.6-ft section grading 5.8 oz gold per ton. Other results from five holes include 6.6 ft grading 0.25 oz and 14.7 ft assaying 0.2 oz in holes 26 and 29 respectively. Hole 30 cut 9.8 ft of 0.22 oz. The fifth hole, 27, intersected 6.6 ft grading 0.17 oz.

The results have extended the strike length of the Creek zone to 450 ft, the partners say. The Creek zone is one of two zones on the property. Of significance, Stroud says, is hole 28 which cut the high grade. The hole was drilled under hole 24 which assayed 0.29 oz across 15 ft.

On the Gunnex zone, located 1,300 ft southeast of the Creek zone, Chevron work has outlined reserves of 102,000 tons grading 0.17 oz.

The property protects favorable geology striking from the operating Ross gold mine, located three km south of the Hislop claims.
