Eldorado reports private placement

Eldorado Gold (ELD-T) has raised $8 million in a private placement of 9.5 million special warrants priced at 90 each.

Each special warrant is exchangeable for a unit, consisting of one share and half a share purchase warrant. One whole warrant entitles the holder to buy an additional share at $1.10 for a period of two years.

Proceeds will be used to explore and develop existing properties, and to fund capital expenditures at existing operations.

Eldorado operates the Sao Bento gold mine in Brazil and the La Colorada gold mine in Mexico.
