SUMMARY:Listing Your Company On The Canadian Securities Exchange: Key Legal Issues\, Costs And Timing
DESCRIPTION:The Canadian Securities Exchange (“CSE”) has been around since 2004. It has recently come into prominence due to its portfolio of cannabis stocks\, with over 160 companies now listed in that sector.  We have recently advised a number of companies on their CSE listings – both mining and cannabis related issuers. This seminar will highlight the legal issues\, costs and timing on listing on the CSE\, followed by a panel discussion with three companies that have gone through that process.  The panelists will provide an unbiased view of the advantages and issues in a CSE listing. Lunch will be served. \nNote:  This is NOT a CSE sponsored event. \nSPEAKERS:\nChuck Higgins\nFounder and managing principal at Pilot Law LLP. Chuck is also the editor of\, and contributor to The Canadian Law of Mining published by the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. His expertise has been recognized in Chambers Global\, Who’s Who Legal\, the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and Best Lawyers in Canada.  \nDan Weir\nDan has worked for over 20 years at some of the top financial firms in Canada. He worked as an Institutional Equity Trader\, and as a broker he managed over $500 million. Before joining DNI Metals Inc. in November 2014\, he was the Head of Institutional Sales at a boutique firm focused on financing Mining companies. Having raised millions of dollars\, both publicly and privately\, Mr. Weir has expertise at evaluating and financing mining deals. Dan has managed large high tech electrical and energy management projects\, having owned his own electrical management firm. Dan graduated from the University of Toronto. \nDaryl Hodges\nDaryl is the CEO of Ancient Strains Limited\, a private company engaged in the CBD hemp business in Canada and India. Daryl is also President of Ladykirk Capital Advisors and sits on the board of private and public exploration and development companies. As former CEO of Jennings Capital Inc.\, Daryl was responsible for many public and private company transactions including equity and debt financings\, M&A\, and go-public transactions.  \nVishal Gupta\nMr. Gupta is a Professional Geologist and has experience working with numerous junior exploration and development stage mining companies. Most recently he worked as an equity research analyst covering junior mining companies for Toronto. Mr. Gupta joined California Gold Mining Inc. in May 2013 as Director of Corporate Development\, and has been serving as the Company’s President & Chief Executive Officer since November 2014.

DESCRIPTION:Manufacturing process in steel industry undergoing changes for making steel better and better in terms of quality\, cost & efficiency. Advance melting techniques like Ladle Metallurgy play an important role in this direction. The focus is to get steel of higher strength/weight ratio along with longer life. This has enabled designer to make product with less section thickness for higher efficiency and less environmental pollution. This workshop has been designed to give insight of various steel making and casting processes from industry point of view. It covers evolution of various steel making processes\, their operation and limitation and latest development on making clean steel through various secondary refining treatments. Continuous casting process is covered for making bloom and billet which are used in rolling mills for long and flat products. Steel Casting plays an important role and cast products are integral part in all industries. Manufacturing of steel castings\, particularly resin bonded sand casting process is covered to get insight of casting processes. For better understanding of steelmaking and casting process\, some important fundamental metallurgical concepts are also covered along with examples.

SUMMARY:Secondary steelmaking process and continuous casting process
DESCRIPTION:Manufacturing process in steel industry undergoing changes for making steel better in terms of quality\, cost & delivery. Advance melting techniques like Secondary Steel Making play an important role in this direction. Quality of rolling mill products depend to a large extend on quality of continuously cast steel. Minor non metallic inclusion may cause surface defects on rolled sheet after undergoing rolling deformation. Inclusion and gas content in cast steel to be controlled before they are sent to Tundish of CCM. On tundish also\, care must be taken so that there is no reoxidation and entrapment of inclusion from tundish and mould do not happen. This two days workshop has been designed to give insight of various secondary refining process\, injection metallurgy along with continuous casting process.
