Search Instructions
There are two types of
search syntax you can use: literal (free text) and Boolean search. A
literal text search finds the documents most similar to your query.
A Boolean search allows you to use traditional search operators such as
AND, OR, and NOT for exact match searching.
- Use AND to return all documents
that contain the words you specified in the Search for field.
For example, entering Gold AND Argentina would return all
documents that contained the words Gold and Argentina.
- Use OR to return all documents
that contain at least one of the words you specified in the Search
for field. For example, entering Gold OR Argentina would
return documents that contained Gold or Argentina.
- Use NOT to return all documents
that contain the first word you entered in the Search for
field, but not the second word you entered. For example, entering
Gold NOT Argentina would return documents that only contained Gold
but no mention of Argentina.
